Renal Dialysis and Implants
The prognosis of dental implants placed into people on Renal Dialysis has few studies to verify whether they can be placed safely. Whilst the original recommendations for people on renal dialysis were to avoid placement recent research has shown they can be placed successfully. However this type of treatment should only be performed after seeking advice from the renal physician in control of the patient’s treatment.
